JLL "BUILDING TOGETHER" 30 SEC TVC

JLL 60 second commercial was VFX Supervised and VFX produced by Carl Grinter for director Sam Abrahams with creative director Hamish Jenkinson at immersive agency The Department with  London advertising  agency Gyro. Working in collaboration with designers Alex Rutterford and Leo Marcantonio, we designed an inverted light shadow emanating from dancers which revealed the form an function of the pre-designed architecture based on their dance  movements, choreographed and shot by director Sam Abrahams. We used projections of their movement to define the form of the visual communication important to  the agencies and client to promote a story of future smart buildings and cities integral to the brand values and experience of JLL as their business.

Lagos 30 second TVC directed by Ed Salkeld at Ed Film who shot macro footage of the powder explosions, close up jewellery and final product bracelet range. Ed collaborated with Carl Grinter and computer animator Dave Childs to have the facets of the bracelet build in computer animation paying particular attention to the balanced look between live action and animation to create a seamless TVC.

Africa Unite - West Africa Versus Ebola for Idris Elba awareness charity film with animation production from Carl Grinter with animator Jon Dunleavy for director Tim Goodsell, producer Ben Schneider at Radical Media for Idris Elba's Africa United charity preventing the spread of Ebola.

Mazzetti Moderno Balsamic Vinegar 30 second TVC directed by James George with production agency Lobster Creative for Mazzetti L’Originale Balsamic Vinegar of Modena – a family run business based in Emilia Romagna in Italy. Carl Grinter  VFX supervised and produced the visual effects and computer animation with Brian King undertaking live action clean up and Flame compositing alongside CG animation team of Gavin Lester, Duncan Burch and Russell Trail. Exec producers Simon McDowell, Sarah Baulcomb and Alice Duke produced, DOP was Simon Paul. Music and sound design from Andrew Beaton.

White Ant Short film short film 'White Ant' premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2023 and was written and directed by Shalini Adnani, produced by: Sara Bonakdar and Michael Graf with production in Mumbai from Kaarthekeyen Santhanam & Mrunalini Havaldar. Exec Producers were David Kimbangi, Ben Coren, Ashok Narayanan, whilst Three Wise Monkeys  Carl Grinter co-produced the project  with Kalraman, S Somasegar, Kalyan Subramanian whilst Cinematography was Adric Watson, Brian King animated the white termite characters using procedural animation set and composited using Flame.

Here Technologies "Aizubus" case study film was completed in collaboration with Chrome Productions. Live action sequences were filmed in Japan, remotely directed by Creative Director Sam Strong and Creative Producer Elise Rappoport with Carl Grinter supervising. The animation was then designed animated and produced with designer Leo Marcantonio and Chrome's Ben Turze and Post Producer Will Sellers finalising the film. The animation sequences explain Here Technologies powerful real-time LiDAR based geospatial location technologies used by Aizubus for passenger service app updating.

Here Technologies "Flixbus" case study film was completed in collaboration with Chrome Productions. Live action sequences were filmed in Belgium, directed by Creative Director Sam Strong and Creative Producer Elise Rappoport. The animation was then designed animated and produced with designer Leo Marcantonio and Chrome's Ben Turze and Post Producer Will Sellers finalising the film. The animation sequences explain Here Technologies powerful real-time  geospatial location technologies used by Flixbus  to run services without delay and more sustainably and to keep customers updated in their app. 

White Claw Surge 4 x 13 second vertical TVC was designed with director Nick Sawyer, advertising agency Rothco in Dublin and production agency Creative Drive in London for the US drinks brand based in Chicago. Three Wise Monkeys combined live action shots of the cans with stock footage sequences which were matted and edited together to create a flow of movement through the separate assets. The Creative Drive producer was Jeannine Mansell, editor Carlo Taranto and Three Wise Monkeys completed picture & sound design.

Motorola Defy Dust Water Impact Commercial   directed by Ed Salkeld & produced by Ramon Ricard at Redux Content for agency Elephant Room with CG animation of the Motorola Defy by animators Dave Childs & James Knopp, Flame  compositing was with Eldon Snellgrove with VFX production and design overview from Carl Grinter

NTT Data "Ignite" launch film was completed as a collaboration between creative agency Future Strategy Club creative and strategy director Justin Small, producer Phil Tidy and creative supervisor Carl Grinter working with designer and animator Leo Marcantonio to complete the introduction to consultants NTT Data's innovation services which use knowledge accelerators to ignite tomorrow, today.

Corona Beer "Natural" 30 second commercial was directed by Ed Salkeld for production company Packshot Factory utilising new product shots undertaken in studio against trans light backgrounds. Live action shots of beach and  ocean were composited into the scenes by Flame artist Rufus Blackwell and graphical transitions connecting scenes to tell the story of  Corona's pedigree.  The film was completed for InBev's in house agency.

Messy Goes to Okido Series 3 13 episode series was undertaken with production company Squint Opera, director Paul Donnellon and CG Supervisor Rupert Smyth and the animation team at Squint Opera. The opening and closing sequences of each episode feature the character Messy going from a live action everyday world into the animated world of Okido and required compositing and transition through to animation world resolving undertaken by Brian King and supervised and produced by Carl Grinter.

XBox Forza Fuel 30 second TVC designed, animated and produced by Carl Grinter with animator and compositor Leo Marcantonio for agency Engine with creative director Drew Wolf and producer Jo Dillon to promote the launch of the latest Forza Fuel game launch supported by a promotion that combine physical and virtual worlds with a driving race and tour of Europe.

Bacardi "Beetle" Commercial CG and VFX production for director Henry Schofield at Partizan Lab  with CG artist Andy Hargreaves and VFX artist Jonny Hicks animating and compositing beetle respectively. 

Phillips "Squeaky Clean" Commercial   CG and VFX Production for advertising agency DDB London with CG artist Andy Hargreaves animating and composite by VFX artist Anthony Laranjo.

Finish "Service Station" 30 second TVC computer animated by Andy Hargreaves and Craig Travis with flame compositing from Emir Hasham and Omar Akarri.

Kerry Low Low Cheese "Help on the Kitchen" 30 second TVC computer animated by Andy Hargreaves and Craig Travis with flame compositing from Emir Hasham and Omar Akarri. 

Ribena "Migration" 30 second TVC with animation directed by Daniel Greaves, featuring computer animation of blackcurrants and tropical fruits matched to  live action environments (directed by Steve Downer at Mad Cow Films) following the journey of hero blackcurrants to Ribena factory.

Purex "Care about Caring" 30 second TVC directed by Jared Eberhardt featuring multiple layers of stop-frame paper animation with rig removals and separate animation passes composited using Flame by Leo Weston & Richard White.

UEFA Champions League Titles and match branding and identity was directed and designed by Michael Berthon and produced by Richard Wallman
